Drop-off/Picking-up Students:
For the protection and safety of your child and all the children at College Park, we request your cooperation on the following:
When dropping off and picking up your child, you may use the school parking lot located by the school office. However, you may park only in the appropriate parking stalls. You may not park in areas designated for principals or in the red zones. If you park in the red zones, you will receive a parking ticket from the police. When walking to school, children and parents should use the cross walks in order to cross the street safely. Please advise your children to do so if they are walking alone.
How to report an absence or tardiness:
Absences
If your child is going to be absent or tardy, please call our attendance voicemail 24-hour message tape at 312-7693 (listen for instructions), before 10:00 a.m. on the morning of the absence. If we do not hear from you, we will attempt to call your home or business to confirm the absence. This procedure is very important for the safety of your child.
Tardiness
It is very important that your child arrive to school on time. If your child arrives after 8:45 am to school, he or she is to report to the office for a late admit slip. We understand that there are circumstances beyond our control, but we also believe that school is a place of work for children. Learning to be on time is part of learning how to be a responsible worker.

Parent Involvement Opportunities:
Schools and families working together are a powerful combination. Research shows that school and family partnerships make a real difference in children's learning. S.T.A.G.E. provides training for families and staff to work together effectively for the benefit of children.
S.T.A.G.E. is committed to forming family/school partnerships that contribute to the development of a positive learning environment for children at home and at school. Family members of a child enrolled in the school are required to participate actively in the education of their children through involvement at home and at school. Many of these activities focus on the development of each child's literacy.
Parents can get involved in a variety of activities at S.T.A.G.E. Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) works with the principal of the school to provide our students with opportunities to learn and grow outside the classroom. Parents and teachers work together to develop school events such as fairs, cultural events, fundraisers, and extra-curricular activities. Our School Site Council plays a vital role in the planning and decision making process. The Council is responsible for developing an Action Plan in which parents and staff work together to improve the quality of the instructional program of the school. We value the time and effort our parents spend volunteering in our classrooms, and we welcome all parents to participate in the learning process of our students.
Visiting our campus:
For the safety of our students, we request that all visitors first come to the office, sign in, and receive a visitor's badge.
